Anaconda Ensemble Theatre is presenting a special reading of ‘The Strand that Beads You’ by Allison Fradkin as part of their Community Reading Series in support of the Anaconda Pride Foundation. This show is presented by the Co-Lab for Civic Imagination Commissions, as well as The Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation, The Tammis Day Foundation, the Town Pump Charitable Foundation, and The Washoe Theatre!

‘The Strand that Beads You’ is a theatre for young audiences’ piece that follows the story of Turquoise, a pony bead who won’t get off her high horse. Magenta is a steed of a bead who doesn’t hesitate to read her the riot act. And it’s not just their colors that clash. Can Rainbow Heart, a charm that’s both intrusive and inclusive, hang in there long enough to string these beads together? This show is recommended for and encouraged for all ages! 100% of the proceeds go to Anaconda Pride!

This show is produced by Jackie Vetter (Anaconda, MT), and directed by Emily Branch (Missoula, MT), with stage management by Heatherlynn Meeks (Butte, MT). The cast features Trapper Bishop (Helena, MT), Dez Brown (Anaconda, MT), Kai Jackman (Anaconda, MT), and Karlee Jane (Butte, MT) The presentation will take place in the lobby of the Washoe Theatre on September 23rd at 2 pm (Doors Open at 1:45 pm).
